We began our day at camp this morning with Peter Pan raising the flag.
It was a very hot day and all of our campers made sure to keep themselves hydrated.
At the end of the day we had a DJ arrive for the entertainment of the girls.
Tomorrow, Friday, is our last full day of camp. Some of the girls will have the option of staying overnight with their units. Once Saturday morning rolls around the staff and PAs will begin tearing the camp down.
So let’s make sure we all have fun on Friday and if you have a tent why not come down to the camp and set it up for your child’s unit? All parents are welcome to come by the camp on Friday to setup a tent for the overnight.

Have you seen this sign? If so please return it to Shady Hollow before flag on Friday morning.

Today was a beautiful day at Clatter Valley Day Camp, the sun was hot but humidity low.
Shady Hollow was making exploding soda bottles by mixing 4 Mentos into a bottle of Diet Coke, the chemical reaction is pretty cool! Cricket Ridge had a cooking lesson over the fire with Cheesy. They had pita pizzas and all agreed they were quite yummy.
We are looking forward to Thursday which is also going to be quite hot, so be ready with lots of water and maybe a hat. The DJ will be coming in the afternoon so there should be plenty of dancing.

The first day of Clatter Valley Day Camp was green day. Daisy, our assistant PA Director, proved her camp spirit by wearing a green crown. Many of our campers and staff wore green as well, from green socks to green nail polish to green hair ribbons and shorts.
Though things started out a little soggy this morning, the sun was shining and the sky was blue before closing flag ceremony. Drizzles don’t stop Clatter Valley campers! They sang at the singing tree with Lark, waded in the brook and made kites in craft. Some even had campfire time with Cheesy, our camp cook.
With good weather predicted for the rest of the week, look forward to lots more fun stuff reported here on the CVDC blog.

Today was open house day at Clatter Valley Day Camp. We saw a lot of girl scouts coming in to check out the camp.
The camp store was in full swing and will continue to be open every day at the close of camp. This allows you to shop as you leave camp with your child. The camp store is conveniently located right beside the front gate.
Monday is green day so be sure to wear something green to camp.

We have been receiving numerous telephone calls about the Parent Letter for camp. In the interest of making your life easier (and our phones ring less) we have added the Parent Letter to the Forms page.
You can also download it directly to your computer in either Word or PDF formats.
Thank you,
